“Romantic Roads” Rothenburg ob der Tauber |

You will join Germany’s most favorite scenic route, The Romantic Road, to Dinkelsbühl. The former “imperial town” lies in the idyllic Wörnitz Valley. The historic Old Town with its sixteen towers and magnificent old patrician houses bears witness to Dinkelsbühl’s heyday in the 15th and 16th centuries, when hard-working craftsmen and flourishing trade made the town prosperous. St Georg’s Cathedral, one of the most beautiful hall churches in southern Germany, was built at the crossroads of the trade routes. In the afternoon we leave for Rothenburg ob der Tauber. It fascinates visitors with intact medieval architecture and its mighty walls and great gates, a proud Town Hall, St Jakob’s Church with the Riemenschneider Altar and busy squares and charming quiet corners with plenty to discover.
